Clean Track Award

Stu and Adam clean up !

Stu Brown and Adam Saunders were the joint winners of the coveted 'Clean Track' award at this years Dinner and Dance.
In an interview after the presentation Stu said "We like our tracks to be kept clean and tidy and this year asked all riders to clean their bike before the start of each race. Mud was a big problem with the poor weather, especially towards the end of the season, but we managed to hire some additional cleaners who worked really hard to clean the dirt off the track. There is still room for improvement, especially in the paddock where the mud gets everywhere, so next year we will be using astro turf."
Adam added "I like to do a couple of laps each race to check that everything is ok and then come in to report on the conditions, this gives us the chance to get on top of things before they get out of hand. In the summer the dust can get bad, particularly in the corners, so we are looking to buy a couple of road sweepers and modify them to cope with the terrain. We are also considering installing 'ride through' bike washers at the end of the run off.
Market research that we conducted earlier this year suggests that 90% of riders wives don't like the dirt and mud found on most tracks, so we will diverting additional funds next year to a WAGS hospitality suit in a local hotel with a live satalite feed from trackside"
