Jack takes honours at Pattingham (09/03/08)

Jack

A hard fought contest between Jack Tompkins (68) and Lewis Ashby (185) saw Jack take the Inter Junior winners trophy with 2-1-2 placings in the first meeting of the 2008 season at Pattingham. The two lads fought hard in all three moto's with each taking the lead at some stage during the first two.
With both Inters having first and second placing behind them going into the third moto all rested on their performance in the last outing. Both were caught up in an incident on the second corner after the start with Lewis managing to get away first. Jack chased hard and having caught and passed 3 other riders was soon back on the tail of Lewis, managing to pass him on the penultimate lap to take second place, clinching the winners trophy.
Both lads remain best of friends and look set to challenge each other for leading places for the rest of the season.
